I met John 3 years ago photographing his sister Genevieve getting married to Ben. Around 6 weeks or so ago, they both emailed me with an elaborate plan for me to photograph John proposing to his girlfriend, Tiffany.
Genevieve and Ben were crucial in making all the pieces come together as John flew in from Texas back to his home state of North Carolina to propose to Tiffany at a special spot at Lassiter Mill Park (they used to hang out when in school). Roses were set up, pedals led the path, and they even arranged for parents and siblings to hide at a distance in the trees so they could see it happen.
The proposal went off perfectly, and if you’ve never seen someone else propose, it is definitely an honor and something special. She didn’t see us, and wasn’t expecting this, as you can see from her reaction.
After the proposal and some photos at the park, we went over to the Warehouse District and took some more photos, of the families together, of John and Tiffany, and different groupings until we parted ways so they could have a great lunch together. It was a perfect Sunday morning. And so thankful the rain didn’t start until about 45 minutes after we were done taking photos.
The photos speak for themselves. I’ll get out of the way, and a big giant Congratulations to Tiffany & John :)
