Twenty years in, I’ve learned the photographs you hold onto aren’t the perfectly posed ones. They’re the unguarded hugs, the sideways glances, the half-second tears no one else saw. My job is to spot those sparks, keep the day relaxed, and deliver images that feel exactly like that moment when you look at them years from now.

1. ZERO-AWKWARD PORTRAIT HOUR
Every couple you on this site once told me they “don’t photograph well.” or “are awkward in front of a camera”. And kook at them now! beautiful, happy, and anything but awkward. Your excitement will do most of the work; I’ll give light direction and let you be yourselves. This isn’t a photo-shoot, it’s your wedding, and it will feel like one.
2. RAIN, SNOW, OR CAROLINA BLUE
From four feet of Maryland snow, to a hurricane on the Outer Banks, and perfect Carolina skies, I’ve shot in all of it. We’ll roll with the weather and come away with amazing photos of your day.
