It’s an awesome drive from Winston-Salem going to Lake Lure, NC. Back roads, hills, then glimpses of the lake – all give way to a clearing where you see the Inn nestled among the mountains. It’s magnificent really. And it was a perfect setting for Lauren & Alan’s wedding.
We got ready at the Inn, got married at the Mountain Chapel, and celebrated back at the Inn with the live music of The Retreat against a clear mountain sky. The energy was electric, and Lauren & Alan’s smiles infectious.
To say I had a good time is an understatement. To say it was better with the amazing Phil & Jess of Twenty One Films is accurate. To say wedding planner Lisa Gatewood-McMillan was awesome is also accurate. And to say I want to go back in time and do it again, yes, that is accurate too.
