Graylyn in Winston-Salem, NC was the backdrop for Kris & Wendy’s wedding a few months ago. The emotional connections between Kris and his mom, Wendy and her grandfather, and most of all between Kris and Wendy themselves, is palpable. Before Wendy came down the steps for the ceremony, a heartfelt, pre-recorded message for Kris was played over the speakers.It would be a challenge to find someone who wasn’t trying to hold back tears listening and watching the man to whom the message was playing for. Also, in awesome show of love, as the last song of the night was starting to play, without letting anyone know, Kris and Wendy quietly left the dance floor, walked outside, and had their final dance alone.
