Katie & Patrick bring friends, famliy & love to Weymouth Center in Southern Pines, NC

You couldn’t ask for a better way to close out the 2009 wedding season that to be with Katie & Patrick, friends & family at the Weymouth Center in Southern Pines, NC. You’ll remember them from an earlier blog post showing a youtube video of Patrick proposing to Katie in New York’s Times Square, which you can see again here (yes, its worth it :) )

The day went perfectly – with loads of time for getting ready and some awesome solo shots of Katie (with excellent help from her sisters, thank you!) and Vickie Fletcher and her husband of Elegant Weddings of North Carolina did an awesome job not only helping the day run smooth but really helping put the vision and details that Katie and her mom had into play. Everything from the REALLY yummy smelling apple cider station which was there for guests for the ceremony (which, I have to say, is an awesome idea for those of you having an outdoor wedding in cool weather), to all the food stations, menus, flowers – perfect! And Katie’s cousin’s husband is Jeff Zill, The Cake Guy from Greensboro, NC. (His web site is being updated, but if you’re interested in contacting him  you can reach him at thecakeguync@att.net).

There were so many funny stories from the day as well, but let me round all of them up into my wedding day tip  – if you decide to lasso your new husband with a lock and chain around his neck, please remember to take the key with you when you leave the ceremony…. :D ha!

For all you film buffs out there (as you know, my brother Ramin is a filmmaker and so I comment on him and film here from time to time – yes , shameless plug :) ) Take a  look down at the cake cutting sample below, you’ll see a someone doing a little filming of the cake event – I’ll give you a hint -two huge classics from the early 90s: King of New York & Bad Lieutenant.

Enough chit chat – Kate, Patrick, congratualtions again! – lets look at some photos!

What an awesome wedding and your photos really captured the fun, magic and emotion for the newlywed couple. I love your black and white photography and especially like the intimate photos you took of the bride and groom together right after their ceremony.
