A year ago when I sat down with Crystal, Jonathan and Terri, we talked about a snowy wintery mid February wedding, while spooning over Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter. We missed the largest snow North Carolina has seen in 10 years, by a week. Instead, we got 70 degrees. Crazy!
But thanks to a lot of hard work from Crystal, Jonathan and the famalies, and the very hard work of Jamie Southern of Southern Celebrations and Events, along with florist Keith Rhyne, it looked like winter and felt like winter. The Grain Barn was set up with snow capped ferns and crystals, and the winter spread through the main barn for the reception as well, and topped off with a fake snow throw exit at the end of the night.
The wedding was just like the engagement shoot we did a last year – laid back and fun. From Jonathan’s dad, Rick (the best man), who pranked everyone at the ceremony that he forgot the rings (including Jonathan, Crystal, the Officiant, and wedding planner Jamie, who was ran out the to parking lot believing the rings were in his truck), to the great party MC’d by Chris Fletcher and his team at Triad DJ & Events. Special note should be made the Rick wrote a heartfelt and fantastic poem as part of his toast.
Cheers to Crystal & Jonathan as they start 2014 as a married couple :)
